Out of the Ashes: 9/11 won the Directors' Choice award at the Gig Harbor Film Festival. The film was presented at the Galaxy Theater Cinema 8 to an enthusiastic audience and was followed by a lively Q & A led by Professor Berger. Prior to the film, SU Law Director of the Annual Fund Michael Sclafani organized a wine tasting attended by former Dean Fredric Tausend and Marilyn Tausend; Professor Emeritus Bill Oltman and his wife Karen; Associate Dean Rick Bird and his wife Laurie; and alumni in the Gig Harbor area.
Out of the Ashes: 9/11 will be featured at the Gig Harbor Film Festival. The Film will be screening at 8:30pm on Friday the 14th.
Out of the Ashes: 9/11 will be screening at several law schools in October and will also be featured at the Scheinman Institute of Conflict Resolution in New York.

Out of the Ashes: 9/11 was chosen to be one of three headliners for the 2011 Politics on Film Festival!
Politics on Film is the nation's first juried film festival with a mission to highlight political film broadly, providing a platform for filmmakers who focus on government, the electoral process, or pressing public policy issues, and establishing an entertaining and educational opportunity for the community. The festival will award prizes in three categories: Audience Favorite, Founders Award and Jury Grand Prize.
Politics on Filmis a project of the Washington Political Film Foundation and is made possible by an alliance with the Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC), an organization that promotes political discourse and seeks to unite the constructive center in the pursuit of viable policy goals.
